Default Hamilton/Woodward-Dalton ML 300's

Hello,
As you know I have started a new company (Competitionairframes) and have received some great support from some close friends. Some of them have even given me the opportunity to build for them. So this will be my first build thread under my new business name and hopefully many more to come.
The first plane you see is a standard Dalton 300 in the jig. That will be under a different build thread for Mike Milos from Canada. The second fuse you see is for Jim Woodward and the third plane to the left is for Steven Hamilton. I'm also building a forth Leseberg 300 for Don Hamilton that hasn't been started yet.
I would like to say thanks to Don and Jim for the opportunity to build for them. As all of you know that have built any airplane there's a lot of work that goes in to building these sizes planes. I'm sure Matt and Walt and a few others that I may have missed understand what I'm talking about. But I still love building, I don't have the patience for covering and painting, so I'm sticking to what I do best.
John Nelon and I are tag teaming Jim's and Steven's. Nelon has taken the hot knife to the wings(template supplied by Matt,Thank You) and when he gets back in town, we will sheet the wings. I will keep you posted on our progress. If you have time , I have a thread under the manufactures forum that gives a little more info on my company and web site.
A big thanks to Tony Russo for all the support and getting me started with building his planes. A true friend. Thanks for everything.
Here's a few pics to get started with, I'll have more tomorrow. Rob Joyner

Oh man call the cops! There is a stash of lethal IMAC weapons in a garage located somewhere in the Tampa area!!!! The competition is going to be out-gunned!!! Its HK's and Desert-Eagles against the ole' pea-shooter revolvers!! Rob and John have made true team effort for getting these done and I really appreciate their hard work. They have built these FAST! Not posted are some pictures of the wings which have some incredible lightening done to them similar to what Matt has done (thank you for mailing the template too). My setup is going to use 3 Futaba 9156 per aileron, 3 on the rudder in the tail, and 1 per elevator. Smart-Fly EQ10 fed by some A123 packs from Smart-Fly/Sin-City. My freshly tuned-up 3W 170 with the new AL block and my own CF canisters will be providing the ponies.

Thanks John, Rob, and Tony! This is going to be fun year for sure!! Don, Stephen, and I are going to have a blast with these birds of prey!!
Jim
- Hey - if you can't beat them, get better equipment right??? Oh man, wait, Ryan has one to though...

NIce job guys, cannot wait to see them finished. I will attest to Robs fin building skills, he truly is a good builder and a guy.

John Nelon, well what can I say, he is a master craftsman when it comes to covering and finishing. I cannot say enough about him, not to mention that he is a great guy to hang out with.

Rob man nice t-shirt, how do i get my hands on one of those, also give me a call when you have a chance I want to ask you a question.

Mike

Nice job on the verticals Rob. The fairings look good to. Id rather be there working on the wings, but im not. Instead im in the freezing cold west. Just landed in the Denver area with a 40 kt headwind. Try that with a 40%er!!! Anyway, home on Saturday and will be sheeting the heavily cored out wings for Stephen and Jim. Take care.

Thanks for the kind words Jim and Mike E. See ya soon.

Whats up Mr. Brian L. How you doing buddy.

He is talking about Ryan Gouslin, a great flyer they usually see at the nats. Great guy, met him at Nall about 2 years ago when I had my yak. Great pilot and a great guy, think he is from louisian but do not hold me to that. Hey give me a call brother, its not like I live that far you know.
