Here is the first foam on the fuselage. I am using a hand held hot wire bow and templates made from the same MDF as the fuse to cut the foam.

Here you can see various foam cutting templates. On the model for cutting the hatch area and in the fore ground for the turtle deck and some ali straight line templates. She is starting to look like an aeroplane now.

Another typical dedicated modeller, flying models 1 & 2 finishishing No 3, building No 4, starting no 5, planning No6 and thinking about No 7 !! Does your wife know about this one Rod ?

Cut two discs as cutting profiles for the cowl. One will be glued on the back. Also cut a ring for the front of the cowl. Put some pegs on the back of the cowl to locate on the front of the fuselage.

Now for the canopy. First make the MDF base. This is in 2 pieces, the rear part will end up fixed to the fuselage and molded with it.

I made an extra keel so I could use them for foam cutting templates. Glued the foam on with PU glue as usual.
