Here is a list of equipment I plan on using for this build. If you all have any questions or comments please make them. I know enuff to get me by but I don't know it all. Radio: Futaba 9 Servos Servos: Ail:2 HS-5955 333oz. & .15 Sec @ 6V El:2 HS-5955 Rud:1 HS-5955 Th:1 Futaba-S3305 125oz & .20Sec @ 6V Engine: DA-85 w/ Slimline Pitts and Smoke Smoke: Sullivan Skywriter Smoke System Fuel & Smoke Tanks: Manual calls for a 24oz fuel. Hi, I have build a Lanier S600 from modified plans, and is a very nice plane to fly! I love mine, if you keep the weight low is a nice platform. now I want try to use the DA85 (I have alredy one) here is a photo.. [img=http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/1623/cimg0005sm5.th.jpg] one 5955 each surface should be good, mine with one 8711 per ail. roll like a foamy! (and I'm going to replace the servos whit 5955 on ail e stab and leave the 8711 on rudder.) I run a single A123 2300 pack to the recivier (JR RS10DS) thru 2 HD swiches Have a fun! The plans shows a Zanoah G80 Twin. I have never used that brand but I hear it is a $800.oo brick. So I am using a Da-85. Although I am not sure about vibrations out of a big single engine. Thanks for sharing the info and pics Baker |

dont worrye abaut the vibration, I think the DA85 is a very smooth powerplant, and also you are a lot lighter than with the ZG80...(and you have a lot of extra power too!!)

well, I think that a DA100 on stok muffler makes a little more power than the 85 on stock muff, but is havier than the single. But now we are shure abaut one things: DA 85 + KS1090 = LOTS OF POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and still light too..) by the way I think for that airframe actually the DA85 is the best choice, specially if you need to keeps the weight down.. HAVE FUN!! |

Well here is what I was looking at. If I lose this plane then I wanted to build an AeroWorks 100cc Yak-54 and fly her with unlimited power! I do not think their Yak will fly at its best on a DA-85. For this one I was not worryied about the little extra weight because I know she will not 3D Well Baker |

I dont know abaut the 100cc yak, but on the 100cc extra there ate a lot of good results whit the 85+KS1090 (see in the DA85 on pipe forum in gas engine..) feel free to buy the 100 (specially in the new version, lighter) but for the 33 to 35% plane the ultimate choice (power to weight ratio and less $$ too) I think is the 85 Have Fun! |
