Here is a bit work done on the second wing, while I am waiting for the pony express for the balsa sheeting. and some progress on the fuselage, Roger

Roger, Looking good. Can't wait to build this myself. I hope you will show as much detail as possible with the wing construction of all stages. I've never built a wing this method before. Also, would you mind weighing the the finished wing panels. Just curious. Thanks, Keith |

Hello Everybody I've been wondering about the wing's main spar. Obviously with the vertical grain balsa webbing and the hardwood spars, the main spar is very strong. My only concern is that the spar is not continuous. It is interruped by the foam rib. I'm wondering if this is something to be concerned about? Perhaps because of the length of the rib, its not a weakness at all. Any thoughts? Obviously building a wing with a continuous front and rear spar would greatly complicate the building process and perhaps would not buy you anthing. Thanks again for the detailed pictures and construction techniques. Randy |

I will post as many photos as possible, and if anyone has some special request of photos I will do the best I can to accomodate. I do plan on weighing the wing once finished... Roger
