Well, well, well, the courier service arrived to day with my wood. So I have already started to assemble the 3/32 sheeting with white glue which I already showed in previous post, and started cutting in a 2 x 4 x 36 balsa block .. For now I have cut a bunch of 3/8 square for the tail feathers.. The reason for cutting my own is simple, the hobby shops around here are not carrying much is wood products anymore because of all the ARF's on the market , can't say I blame them but now I can cut my own and not worry about them. While waiting all this time , my property has never looked so good, with no airplane to work on, I have been working on the property ![]() Also I have been making a few more properllers and this one on the photo is a 20*10 I designed and made for a friend for his DL 50, the prototype was promissing ...we'll see what he has to say.. Roger

Roger, I did the same thing with the Laser I just built, I cut my own wood from a balsa block. Now that I did it once, there is no way I will ever go back to ordering sticks again. Its so easy to do and you get exactly the size you need. When I ordered sticks I would always order too many sticks or too few sticks because of some building change that I would make. When you cut your own you really are in control. Looks good Roger. |

More work done today, first prepared the second wing sheeting, probably start on sheeting early next week. Today made the tail feathers or should I say I started, still much to do. Roger
