I have made a hopper tank out of aluminum, not sure yet if I will use it but here it is.

Also I received the canopy and started to install it along with the pilot, not quite finished yet .

Very interesting build Roger. Wish it could've been this seasons maiden though.

Thank you, I wish I could have also but there is a lot of attention to detail at this stage and as you well know this is not a kit and I am making a lot of changes for the Wren engine. Such as the cowling, I am just now designing it specifically for the turbo prop engine. I just hope I can make a nice cowling to justify such a nice airplane and engine combo...

I'm sure you can come up with exactly what it needs.

I started on the cowling, not much yet but assembled some foam glued together, I will start carving once the glue is dry, at least this way its not expensive if I am not pleased. Once carved to my likings, I will simply glass it on top of the foam , once pleased with the results, I will remove the foam by yanking it out and final removal with gasoline..

Also in the pictures , you might have notice the start of another foam piece which is the fuel tank.

I need more fuel then normal with the turbine and have calculated for 60 ounces, and the fuse interior is not that large .

Also while making the fuel tank I made a small aluminum piece that will be installed with the fiberglass on the foam. This is for the normal fuel cover that you also see in the picture.

Roger, you have a true modeler's heart.
One would benefit greatly just by being your neighbor I'm certain!
Gotta love the landing gear hot wire harp!

No doubt I'm really stoked to see a RARC Helmet head in your cockpit too.
