While waiting for my buddy to come over and help cut the wing I have been making the wing tube socket.

For those interested, I wrap wax paper around the tube, then wrap a six inch fiberglass tape heavy tupe, and make it overlap until you have reached the lenght you need , in my case 16 inches..and hold in place with making tape, I will take pictures of the next one as I am making the different steps.

Also I had to make another propeller so I can fly tomorow, here you see it with the fist coat of varnish,

Today, I woked on a killer safety Servo Battery/receriver battery buss, two failsafe switch, and Fiber optic servo extension encoders all built in the same unit...

Hope to work on the laser wing this week end, still waiting for my buddy which was in england ...

My buddy was back from England so he helped me cut the top part of the wing, nothing else was done on it as this was done yesterday and now I have to cut the hole for the tube, plus all the stringers. then cover. Its coming, sometimes it takes longer just to get organized.

While waiting I have completely transformed the electronics in my Sukoi.

with pictures you can see what I have done.

You will notice with the use of Lipos, I have installed individual regulators at 5.98 volts true to power the servos since the signal is taken care of with the Fiber optics.

I have tested these regulators with this airplane using one 7806 for the throttle and choke servos plus the ignition with absolutely flawless performance... So these are good to go and only cost about 50 cents each ....
I am also making the fiberglass tube and making the props ,

Roger

I know its not going fast but steady...
Here I am using an aluminum landing as a short bow to cut the tube socket holes...

Hi Roger ---very cool bow idea, am amazed at the creativity of modelers, hope this trend does not decline with the availability of the A. R. Fs. You indeed do beautiful work.
Regards
Jack
