I was looking at making a short bow to cut the holes when I suddenly realized I have this landing gear doing nothing, I made some nylon bushings for each end , put in some 10*32 eye bolts at each end installed the wire as tight as I could then tightened the eye bolts , put the wires on it and adjusted the variable transformer with an ameter to get about 11 amps, and voila,,, the best thing is it works...

while some of the glue sets on the wing panel, I made another wing tube socket but this time took some pictures as I went along...

Any questions, just ask...

Before I made the tube socket, I made a little test stand to see how a 7806 regulator would stand up as I am using one of these for each servo in my airplane instead of going to the high priced single units.

The results so far using a Multiplex Jumbo digital servo with 300 in/oz of torque connected to a heavy weight of metal you see in the photo. has been running non stop for well over two hours so far with a servo excerciser set at high speed.

After two hours, the 60 cent regulator is barelly warm to the touch and it is covered with a heat shrink wrap you see here in green..
In the second picture, I added the extra weight you see here and this is the weight its been with for two hours and I will leave it there for most of the day...

The individual regs seem like a great idea. What is the current draw when excercising the servo? Also, nice prop. Are you designing them yourself?

Upon lifting the 4 lbs weight it pulls about one amp. I let it run for 5 hours non stop at the highest speed the excerciser would let it.

When I shut it off, the regulator was still barely warm ...They can easily support 3 amps for short bursts, so one per servo is not going to be a problem...

Also you are getting some redundancy having one per servo instead of one for the whole bunch...

As for the prop, no I don't design props as some others have claimed. I designed and built a duplicator and use a variety of props to copy from , not for resale just for my own use.

The one you see here is a copy of a Biela 26*10, costing me $5.00 of beach wood plus my time.

I recently made a 36*12 like this for the 300cc engine, the cost was $10.00 of beach wood.

Here I have installed the sheeting on the top before cutting the bottom part.

I am using white carpenter's glue, giving me plenty of time to layout the glue , put the sheeting on and then I put reseallable lunch bags filled with sand so they easily take the shape ..
