Today I assembled the laser in the shop, no main wheels , with fuel tank about half full which is about 30 ounces of fuel on board.

The weight I got was 19.3 lbs. less the fuel I get about 17.5 lbs.

Just to let everyone know, my next project for the Turbo prop is the T 34c Mentor.

I am going to draw up my own plans , a first for me

The size I am shooting for is 100" wingspan and it will be designed purpose built for the Wren Turbo prop engine for either the 54 or the 44. and not the other way around for a piston engine.

Please let me know if there is any interest out there for me to a build thread on this also.

Roger

Do you have any video of the engine runs, or have you not got there yet?

As soon as the weather improves a bit, I will take it outside and assemble it and shoot some pictures,

We actually got to 30o last night here in "Ocoee" - I'm told by long time Mayor Vandergriff means Seminole Indian for: "never freezes" .

Roger- You know my vote is in for another build thread- I love to see the hobbyist mentality in you at work. (no problem mate, you can simply make it, or, I'll make it to best suit my needs! )

You take me back to when we had no choice in the hobby in many situations where the creative processes were a requirement to get a job done. Like me having convinced Kenn to make me a better pilot figure (back in 1979!) for my 40 size Balsa USA Phaeton bipe, cause all other available options were simply horrible.

Well today the temperature was only -12c so I took the laser for some fresh air and took a few pictures assembled..
You will notice the cowling still has to be properly finished and painted, but this will wait for warmer weather for sure
