The landing gear and canopy are replacement parts from Great Planes. I bought them from Tower Hobbies.
Landing Gear is from the 1/3 scale Cap 580, Tower part # LXJMB7 cost is $22.49
Canopy was from the Great Planes Ultimate Bipe, Tower part # LXLGN6 cost is $9.49.

You could also get the landing gear flat stock 2024 aluminum from Jack. When I ordered my plans he sent the 2024 aluminum in the same tube, gear was cut but not bent. Scott bent them up for me but my gear was lost in the mail when he sent it out. The Great Planes gear works fine, you will just need to paint it, unless you like yellow.

A note on the balance of the Laser, my motor weight of 4 ½ lbs is just the motor. I have stainless flex headers and aluminum beer can mufflers. I also have a choke servo up front as well as all my batteries. With your motor you may need some weight because you don't have the mufflers.

Absolutely great information Tony , and I am calling Jack right now . He did send me an email with some great tips to lose some weight , and as you know there is no vibration from this motor so I can shed some pounds in the structure I'm sure.

Now since I have done a build thread on the 34% Turbo laser, some might repeats here for the 40%, is there enough interest to do a build thread on the 40%, I don't want to bore anyone ...

Well its been fun but I think I will not continue contributing here. I had another thread about boost tabs, and there simply too many people like to disrupt, when people do not understand what you are doing they beleive it can't be good.

I received private messages from people harrassing me , hate messages because of the boost tabs,

I have asked the moderators to step in a few times to no avail. So this is not worth it to me.

I appreciate the real modellers wanting to discuss this as you have but its just not worth the aggravation from the others.

I will repeat this message to my other threads

Roger

Ignore the negative and keep proceeding forward, I enjoy reading good build threads, never too old to pick up a new trick or two.
