OK, so I wussed out on the pics from last night, but I did manage to get the engine at least positioned to be mounted and the cowling cut to fit, I just need to get some 2" long bolts today to final mount the motor. I was thinking, with some productive work today and tomorrow, this thing may be ready for a test flight by Sunday. Hey Kitman, any words of advice to look for re: balancing? Placement of the throttle servo rear or front? I hope this thing is as "INCREDIBLE" as my DV was. Anthony |

| I just maddened mine last weekend. The plane fly’s great. I also used a DA and the psp stand offs. Can you say plenty of power? This thing out climes the 34% with 3W106 ( other guy at club has same setup on a 27%). it flouts well and is smooth. my plane came out at 15 3/4lb |

OK, I took some pictures last night of the completed plane. I have not had an opportunity to weigh it yet, but as Fudman stated, the DA 50 has got a slew of power, Robert Vess was impressed, but said it needs a different prop........ I wonder what he meant? Anyway, here are a few pics of the finished plane and install. Actually i took my camera to the field to get some pics and forgot to take any. The plane is really "incredible". Just need to add a little nose weight. The plane is just a tick tail heavy. Anthony Wiencek Raleigh, NC Toys for tots this weekend! |

Just a couple of additional things I changed. right now the only metric bolt is the rear wing retention bolt, I replaced all the blind nuts with standard stuff. I too used the PSP standoffs. I also ran into the clearance problem with the elevator and the rudder horn. I simply cut the inside portion of the elevator and recovered it to clear. Anthony |

I like the way you did the choke. I used a servo for mine. The throttle servo is on the bottom right side up and the choke servo is on the top upside down. I mounted my fueler the same way. These planes really do fly pretty good and very light. I'm thinking about trying a three blade prop to get more clearance, but a shorter (squatier) tail wheel assembly might be better. Have fun with it. Oh yeah, I like what you did with the wheel pants. Jay |

| Thanks for the compliments. Fudman / Road Builder-The wheel pants are from my Double Vision. I received white ones as well, but noticed the DV landing gear in the corner and said Hmmmmm. Curious........... how well the paint matches. Guess they both came from the same factory in China. Actually pretty obvious with the metal horns and the covering is all identical to the Chip Hyde stuff. Roadbuilder- I had a servo operated choke on my Double Vision, but when I built one for a friend, i did it like this and it worked well. Huckeneer- The prop is actually a Menz 22-10 which I painted and added the Prop decals. Robert Vess was pushing me to put on a Vess, and I may at least try it since he is at the field every weekend. MERCURY DAYDREAM- It has been a LONG TIME since I did something wierd / crazy stupid with a pilot and asked my wife, Hey, what do we have around the house we can use as a pilot, and she handed me that. Thought, hey its red, that will work, plus on the the Red Bull Racing Circuit, no one will know if it is or isnt Peter Besenyei. Maybe we will get some Video this weekend at the RDRC Toys For Tots Flyin. It appears it may be one of the largest RC events in NC in a Long time. Thanks Again Anthony |

It is $60 but hey it will surly bring a chuckle or two as you sit there bobbling during start up and taxing down to the run way! IMO - impressive how well they capture a likeness! (wish I knew how to post a pic!) http://www.headbobble.com/index.html |

Yeah those wheel pants look great. Unfortunately there is much you can do about the control horn geometry on these planes. The servo sits in a really bad spot. Mine looks the same and haven't had any problems as of yet. Sometimes it just beez dat way Jay |
