More progress. All I need to do now is secure the batteries, run some power checks with the three prop sizes I have (20x12, 22x12 and 24x12), then see how much weight I need to add to get it balanced on the spar. ..a |

It's ready to fly except i need a different prop - 20x11 is only half the power I was expecting. Hope the 22x12 is a LOT better, else I'll need to figure out something else, as I'm out of ground clearance! Replaced steel wing retaining screws with nylon, added wood to be able to use finger in the fuse. 2nd Pic shows them installed. Also pinned the stab thru the alu alignment pin - the other end is glued into stab. I've calculated CG and find the spar is 40%! That's not a very 'safe' starting point? ..a |
