I'd be willing to take the first Aerotech Sensei 40% Su-26

Presumably your canopy tool will be used in the vac former, how many layers of glass did you use and how do you avoid print through of the weave after a few pulls? I am about to make a plaster canopy tool for my Su 29 for the next run of canopies (with a foam core to reduce the weight of it).
Rod
Hello Rod,

My splash is only a 2 ply layup,1 ply 6 oz. plain weave, and 1 ply 120 cloth. The term OML means (outer mold line). After Aerotech has possession of the canopy tool, the thermal forming outfit will generate a urethane production tool from this master for production runs. I am also going to manufacture my engine cowling using a PVC core to keep it light.

Bob

This project is great. Flying is about having fun and light planes are freakin fun.

For me, only a 33%/50cc version would be within reach,$2000-$3000 and it would fit in my minivan.

If there was a 33% ARF that would finish at about 16 pounds, that would sell like crazy. Not sure how many people want to mess with kits. I would do it, if it were the only way to get one. I enjoy flying more than building.

Just wanted to tell you this thread is awesome to follow, Thank You!

This kinda where I was going in my prior posts. I would have no issue with the kit build though. I am certain I would enjoy it all the way through. How ever many months it took me to finish it !

Love watching you work Bob.

Sensei:
Your hands look so small inside that cowling, could easily be mistaken for a fullsize
I'm glued to my computer regarding this project, learning more each time. Wish I lived in the US, so I could take a trip and see for myself what you are doing.

Keep up the good work, sir.
