Thanks Garrett!...been wanting to ask, the ones flown in China...any cooling issues or baffles installed? I wasn`t planning on any for this plane, and just going with a nice size exit hole.

That's what I'm talking about! That's exactly how I have mine set up. Not only is it ten times stronger than wood, it looks ten times better too. And the aluminum doesn't weigh that much. Lookin great!

might as well duct it. Two piece cowl makes it simple and your doing such a nice job already might as well go all the way.

Larry, I had no problems at all with the 3w 106 on cans while I was in China. The plane will not need baffles but like the above said since it a two piece cowl it would be really easy to put some nice baffles in. It wont hurt anything but you would only gain from it. So either way you should be fine.

gas engines get less power when they are hot so if you cut a few degrees by baffling it would help a tad...

Well guys you got me.

I'm getting mine picked up this week. Power will be the new EVO 80cc on a tuned pipe so I hope to come in lighter than the twins but equal on power. Time will be the judge here of course.

Fromeco packs and if my Weatronics unit arrives in time I will go with a 4800 single pack with a 2400 as reserve.

Servos are still out with the jury. Tempted to go with some very fast Futabas but I have had great success with the Hitec 5955's to date so may stay with what I feel comfortable with.

Does anyone have a ball park finished weight on one yet. I would like to see what I can shoot for on this one.

Kiwi
