No problem, Dave is a master at applying both Ultracote and MonoKote. He did my Carden extra in Ultracote and it was amazing. He also did my 3w yak in Monokote. I think that the Monokote gives a deeper shinner finish that is a little more heat resistant. Andrew |

Hi Guy's, I just read through this thread again and thought I would post an update on the aircraft. I purchased it RTF about a month ago and have about 30 flights on it so far. After probably having @ 2-300 flights on it (Wayne help me here if I am off)using it to win unlimited at Tucson, Tim 3D'ing it (shame on you Tim!!), to be relegated to flying Sportsman IMAC with me at the controls it still looks great. It is a testament on the build quality and mods that Walt put into it, the fit of the stabs and wings is like it was built yesterday, the lightened gear has no sag or splaying out, the plane is still as solid as the day it left BBW. The monokote and paint work that Davey at DSP did on this is outstanding and has stood up excellant to all the flights and being in multiple climates. Just goes to show that even after being flown hard even a lightened Carden will last the test of time. Dom Last edited by Tailwind; 05-20-2008 at 09:20 AM. Reason: updated info |

Dom, That plane really only has about 200 flights on it. I started flying it about a month before the shootout in 06. When it came home from the contest it had right at 150 flights on it. I flew it in 07 very little becuase I had started flying the 300. I think I put 15 flights on it mid summer when I replaced the 8611A's with 8711's. It didnt fly again until Tim flew it. I think he put less than 25 flights on it total.. Add that to whatever you have flown and that should be real close. Doesnt matter. Its a BBW. You wont be fixing anything on the plane anytime.

Dom, You can add one flight for me on that plane too. I'm glad to see you got a cover for it too. Take care of it and it will love you forever. Or at least until then next owner gets her.

Wayne, I thought you had flown it more, I forgot about the 300 being done for the 07 season. Fick......there is a small tatoo in its future......I just have to put it on. Dan....I don't know about the next owner....might not happen-I am really enjoying flying this one. Ward.....Thanks |
