Dude! What kind of car is he driving??? I pay $300 every 6 months for both of my cars, and one is an SUV with full coverage! Even when I was 18, I only paid like $75/month. If he is 18, with a Mustang GT (or other 'perceived' hot rod/racer) and a car payment, it's his bad for not researching insurance. Even still, I would tell the ins. co. to kiss my white a$$ before I forked over that kind of cash!!!!

HA!!

I used to do wheelies and such on motorcycles for a few 10 or so years back. And may have received a few or 40 tickets. After that couple of years and suspensions, I was quoted (At the lowest) $7500 a year to drive a new mini van. Thats $625 a month.

So I had to buy a used Van. To drive that used van with the state minimum liability insurance it was $265 a month.

Now that I'm not retarded any longer (at least in regard to driving) and have had a fairly clean record for the past 6 or 7 years I now pay $38 a month for liability on my POS van.

AHHHHHHH insurance.. you have to love them..

My poor wife, when we got married, her insurance company dropped her because she married me!!
They would not believe I didn't drive her car, even though I signed an affidavit saying I wouldn't.
And she has never had a ticket in her life. That wonderful company was State Farm. (Sorry Wayne)

Progressive. I think it will be a little higher next go-round, as that was probably a teaser rate, and we have moved, but I should still pay less than $500...

I got my first car when I was 18, it was a 79' Camaro with the old high output 4bbl 305, and my ins. co. had a field day with me LOL. I was paying $180.00 a month for standard liability plus I had to shell out a $500.00 down payment to start the policy!
