I really don't know if this is funny or not. I do believe that all of us can relate to this. A friend of mine wrote this and I couldn't wait to post this, enjoy.

Dear Club Fellow Members:

It gives me great pleasure to address you all at this most beautiful time of the year.

I would like to express my EXTREME gratitude for your undying efforts & dedication to paying your dues.

I admire those that are able to come to a meeting on the third Thursday night to discuss what “the flyers” should and should not do at the field. It is so important to maintain a relationship with Club officials and stay in touch with rules and up coming events.

I would like to extend my deepest appreciation for your routine habit of keeping the field unoccupied, for the most part. I can certainly understand how a club membership can produce a warm feeling and how we all have the need to “belong” to something.

However, those of us (about 12 to 15 members) that utilize the field, can only surmise there are reasons that you are not there.

Here are the top 25 reasons to NOT go to the field.

• My wife is using my airplane most of the time.
• The price of gas prohibits me from leaving the yard.
• When the sun is out, I can never find my hat.
• If I fly my airplane, it might crash.
• I don’t have time to fly, just go to the meetings.
• Don’t like the smell of that nasty fuel.
• I am just too frekin old to do that stuff anymore.
• There are no shade trees at the field
• I am allergic to grass.
• The wood chips get my shoes dirty.
• The 3D guys are way too cool and I feel out of place.
• I don’t own an airplane and can’t borrow an airplane
• There are no instructors there and I don’t know how to fly.
• I would rather just be cool at the meetings, with a nice Club shirt or Club jacket.
• I forgot how to get there, and my Alzheimer’s medication is too expensive.
• I refuse to use the “Jiffy Johnny” to relieve myself.
• I just feel too incompetent to participate anymore.
• I only fly on odd days but most days are normal.
• I can afford the dues but can’t afford a plane.
• I do not understand the term PADDRUN.
• My Viagra keeps me busy at home.

That's too funny, exatcly the same situation as we have down here, cept there is 25 members and 5 active flyers!
