I'll second the CONGRATULATIONS GUYS!
I quit cold turkey 15 years or so ago - so you can too!

I still recognize the handi-store where I bought the stupid pack that re-hooked me for another ten years.
Every time I drive by it I note how stupid I WON'T BE AGAIN!

I quit almost 2 years ago cold turkey. told the g/f (now wife) when the last pack I had was done so was I. almost every day i think about lighting up, it's hard but I resist the urge and keep going. congrats to everyone who has the will-power and strength to quit. besides, you end up with more cash for your planes!!

One thing to keep in mind is that once an addict, always an addict. For this reason, alcoholics can never touch alcohol, and likewise, smokers should not fool themselves into thinking that they can light up "just one."

Congrats to all you guys who made the decision. I can tell you medically that it is one of / if not the best decision you can make for your health.

After 20 years of 2 pack a day, i got up one morning pick up my pack of Benson&Hedgers, took a look at it and trow it in trash can. Never had taste for it again. It don't bother me when another people smoke.
That was 22 years a go, and I dont miss it.
When I look at the prices of cigaretts I feel I have second income.

I gave up smoking fulltime three years ago. Now I have about ten per year. Each week I spend on my hobby what i would have spent on smokes. There is no way I will take it up again, I am addicted to buying planes.
