I agree that there are lots of prizes to win. In 3 shootouts I have won a DA150, Comp Arf 2.6 extra, and a DA 100. This year the competition will be even better with the new selection system. In advanced it looks like all but a couple of the top pilots will be coming. Bill Adams is a local and has been at every shootout, he just isn't on these boards. you can mark him as a yes. I was just hit with a little sticker shock when i saw the price, it will be $50 per sequence for half the pilots and it is worth every penny just to be there. | |||||||||||||||

Does anyone know how feasible it is to ship a 40% plane and fly out for the contest? Cost prohibitive and damage liklihood? I'm thinking a BIG wooden crate! Bus or common carrier? Driving from Florida is a tough one especially for Spotsman class. Three days on the road and three days back. Too much to take off work for.Mike |

Steve, In other post, Tony indicated that he had sold his Carden Extra after a few flights. (Tony's quote "All planes are for sale when the price is right."). :-)

Kevin is correct I picked up my new 260 yesterday at the trucking yard. this is the best fit I have seen on Comp Arf planes. If I didn't have to paint it I could have it flying on Saturday. Thats right Kevin, I have to paint it. They were out of painted 260s. |
