Default 2006 IMAC Southwest Regional Championship

The IMAC Southwest Regional Championship will be held Sept 30 - Oct 1, 2006 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our hosts are the Las Vegas Radio Control Club. Tim May is Contest Director for our championship event.

Contest entry fees are $50 for all pilots.

Entrants must pre-register online and also complete and mail in the official entry form that is also available online. Entry fees are to be paid, in advance, by check. Payment details are on the paper entry form available on our contest website. Online registration will close on Sept 22, 2006 at Midnight, Arizona Time. The contest is open to all AMA members.

Your entry fee will be refunded if you officially notify Tim May with your regrets prior to the contest.

The SW Regional Championship is a 2006 Southwest Region Season Point Title Challenge event. Season point standings will be determined at the contest and Regional Season Point Title Challenge awards will be presented on Sunday afternoon.

The contest will be conducted using 2005-2006 AMA RC Scale Aerobatics rules. The 2006 IMAC Known Sequences will be flown. Rules and sequences are available at www.mini-iac.com.

Sound testing will not be done. We will be giving a Sound Score.

The Zoneless Box rules will be used. We will not be giving a Positioning Score.

A pilot and instrument panel will not be required.

All pilots will be expected to judge, scribe. Be sure to sign up for your volunteer position online.

Contest officials will plan for the normal number of sequences of 6 knowns and 1 unknown, with 2 throw aways knowns. However, at 55-60 or more pilots in attendance we will consider reducing the knowns to 5, or even 4, depending on the time and logistics adjustments that need to be made relative to the pilot numbers. One (1) throw away known if that occurs.

Check www.lvrconline.com for hotel locations and a map to the field.

The Las Vegas Radio Control club will be providing hot lunch for a modest donation.

There is overnight parking available on the site - sorry no hookups.

The contest website is open with complete contest details and pre-registration at
www.imacwebscore.com.
