Talking Re: Thistledown Fall Festival Fun-Fly -- Sept. 8, 9, and 10, 2006

The Thistledown Flyers is Corky Heitman's home club. This group knows how to put on a great show, as well as Corky knows how to pick a great wine! Let’s start with no landing fee, no camping fees, and a free air show for all 3 days by Matt Chapman. There was even flying at night under stadium lighting. It is like nothing you have ever seen before. Everything free to the pilots. The Thistledown group and I started a perpetual trophy named the Miles Reed Life Achievement Award. The first recipient was Miles Reed. I believe Miles has represented the IMAA as few have over his years as a member. For anyone that knows Miles Reed I hope you can understand the stature and importance of this award. Be there this year for a heck of a good time and to see who is the next recipient of the Miles Reed achievement award

Sweet! Re: Thistledown Fall Festival Fun-Fly -- Sept. 8, 9, and 10, 2006

Hello Everyone!

As the flying season gets closer, we are getting very excited about our fly-in this year. The 2006 Thistledown Fall Festival is one flyin in you don't want to miss. Our organization has already begun the planning stages and to make sure your vist is an enjoyable one. We promise that if you come and see what we are talking about, you will be glad you did!

I will be handling the registration exclusively this year at my tent on the flight line near the transmitter impound. I will be speaking to our website administrator regarding an early registration system of some kind from the webpage. This can save lots of time and give us an opportunity to serve you better.

As always, your suggestions are welcome to help make our show an enjoyable one for you.

David Moro

You would not believe me if I told you everything that Mr. Corky Heitmann and the rest of the Thistledown members have in store for you!

If you have been to our Fall Festival before you know what a good time that everyone has.

You better strap your shoes on because The Thistledown is going to KNOCK YOUR SOCKS OFF this year!

Imagine this:……..

September 8th. - Sunny 80˚ - 5 mph breeze

You just arrived at our wonderful field.

Park your truck/trailer what ever you drove.

Unload / unpack / setup up what ever you brought.

Head over to the registration, and start filling out the forms and someone yells - out Holy Toledo did you see ______________ (insert famous pilots name here) just did a freaking _______________(insert maneuver of your choice here) INVERTED! Did you see that?

Your reply is: No I didn’t, I was filling out these forms.

Now imagine your at home sometime between now and September 8th.
Some crappy sitcom or reality television show is on and you have no choice but to leave the room.
Log onto our website and PRE-REGISTER. Then when you get to the field, all of your information will be waiting on you, just pick up your packet. Then you don’t have to miss a minute of the action!

In addition to pre-registering for the event (saving you precious flying time when you arrive), don't forget to make hotel reservations now!

The Best Western is the official hotel sponsor of the Thistledown Flyers, and they are offering special rates for participants. Phone: 419-599-0850 Fax: 419-592-0431. Ask for Paul and mention Thistledown Flyers for a special rate.

The Best Western is located only a few minutes from Thistledown Field -- super convenient!
