TEXARKANA RADIO CONTROL BIG BIRD 2008

Everyone needs to bring a little extra cash with you. We will be raffling off a DL-50 this year. We have several in the club now it is showing signs of being a power house for its size. I know you all wanted a 150cc but we are a bunch of poor boys but maybe we can make enough this year to be able to get one next year. Besides the 50cc size planes have proven here lately to be as much fun with a lot less expense. The raffle will be a dollar a chance or six for five dollars. Also everyone needs to be ready to perform (show your stuff) for we have the four local radio stations, local paper, and the three local TV stations have agreed to show up and do something for the local news. The last time we had this much attention we had around fifteen to two thousand spectators show up.
Now I ask who is up to the challange!

Seating for a hundred thousand??? You may be cutting it a bit short, I bet we can seat more than that in the grandstands. For those of you who think we are kidding, come on down and see for yourself. We may not have quite 100K there to witness all the flying, but if we did, we'd have no problem seating them, and everyone of them would have excellent seating. You'll see what we mean when you get here. We are planning for some excellent media coverage, like David said. Another good reason to come show your stuff. Don't miss out on your chance to be famous, at least in the Texarkana area !!!!

Tim, are you talking about Brandon flying one of Gary's Planes like that? If so, I will give Brandon 20 bucks if he could fly one of Gary's planes with transmitter behind his back while standing on his head blind folded. hehehe

he used to jump up and down when I used to fly a few years back....now i'm "trying" to copy what he's doing......but just ending up on fence posts.

Thats what I am talking about. Just so everyone knows about the fence post pic. Doug from DR Hobbies had that wing fixed and ready to fly again in two weeks. You can't even tell it was ever broke through like that.
And I just got back from picking the Edge up in like new condition again.
