Heli's can be flown, but only if the 3D Airplane pilot brought one to fly, and only off to one side of the field. This is an 3d Airplane event, not for heli's. WE do not go and Huck Giant Scale airplanes on the deck at a Heli event . I want to make that CLEAR!

I am not sure if we can camp out on Thursday night. If you want to come on Thurday and park the trailer and fly, I think it would be okay, and come back the next day. Triple Creek RC is a public park w/ no over night camping allowed, and we had to got special permission for over night camping on Fri and Sat nights. I will check into this further Steve.

No offence to heli pilots, but from what I experince, I HATE to fly when helis are in the air. Some of the guys at my feild fly almost in the pits right behind the orange barriers... Scary stuff when it sounds like they are right behind you. I don't want to come close to one of those in the air. My plane could be served as sushi .

Man this is great, If i can get the time from work and school I am going to make a whole trip out of this. I can make it back to visit family and then hop on over to the fly-in with my brother. Man that would be great...it is definately a possibility now.

Thanks for the responses guys, I just wanted to get an opinion so I can answer the question if it comes up again. I will try to get an answer about showing up early and camping out on the site Thursday. But, to be clear we can definitely camp out there Friday and Saturday nites. So, be prepared to at the very least show up early Friday morning and huck it until Sunday evening!
I only live 12 miles away, so I will stay late but go home to my nice bed with cool A/C and hot shower
If and only IF there are a couple folks that are able to make it to the field but unable to camp I may be able to open up some floor space at the house if you don't mind leaving your stuff at the field overnite. I am sure that won't be a problem. If there are plenty of people camping out nobody will be messing with our stuff.

Is poor hucker bringing a new kiddie pool to play in?

Mike Chandley, are you going to show up to this event? We made it a 2 day event just for you!!!
And you better bring that fry oil and some of that bread!

I am not sure if Jeff has registered on here yet but thought I would jump in here and thank you again for coming to the TCRC Meeting the other day. I can tell you that Jeff and myself are looking forward to this upcoming event and we think it will be a great thing for both the Florida Freestyle Aerobatics Association and TCRC.
Like you heard at the meeting the Club is 100% behind making this a premier event for all that attend...

For me June can't get here soon enough so the HUCKIN can begin!!

We are going to need to do pre-registration for all those individuals that want to do overnite camping.
This has been a request by the county parks commission.
We have permission to stay overnite but they would like to know how many are staying.
I think they will be providing overnite security.
We will be coming up with a flyer and some sort of registration form in the near future.
Hopefully we will have to update the flyer at least as many times as Rennie did for FX3D as we add all the sponsors whom I hope will be lining up to get in on the action!
We should also start thinking about ideas for T-shirts and hats.
A BBQ dinner would also be a good thing if we can figure out the number of people.

Johnzo, I know you'll be reading here and I hope to see you this weekend to discuss a few items.
We may want to rent an extra porta-john for the weekend.

Just so you guys know, we do not have real restrooms but we do have a large porta-john on site. The kind you rent for handicap accessibility are much larger than the standard ones.

We do however have an outdoor shower on the side of the clubhouse with HOT water. There is no privacy though, so bring your swim trunks if you want to shower in public!

We have a couple of hose hookups if water is needed. I know we will need to get the kiddie pool filled up for tail-dunking.

There is also a playground for the kids to keep them entertained if you're bringing them along.

We will need to setup a radio impound somehow and a frequency board much like GatewayRC did for FX3D. I really liked their setup and it worked great. For each flight we handed our AMA card to the attendee and they hand you a frequency pin. When you were done flying you return the pin and you would get back your AMA card and a raffle ticket for pilot prizes. This idea worked out fantastic at FX3D!
