Flying Aces Fun Fly "Lowes Motor Speedway"

Just returned home from today's trip to Lowe's Motor Speedway, Charlotte, NC. These folks had a nice crowd despite the weather. Lot's of wind and a small amount of rain threatened the day. This site is one nice place to fly! Hat's off to the Flying Aces for a fun filled day.

Here is a link to one of the newspaper articles from the event. It was a great event except for some of the weather. I had fun beating the snot out of my Panzl and hanging out with everyone while we were waiting for the rain to go away.

That was not good for the image of the hobby.
Any drinking ever done is after all flying is finished with our group.

I saw no beer either. We need to drop this guy a note and have him run a correction for his story. We don't need any bad publicity especially for a new site.

Any chance this Bolick guy said they were drinking? Most likely not, but just a thought. Might want to investigate this a little further, but I doubt they will print a retraction in the papers. Worth trying though. Columnist dont like admiting they goofed! Cost the paper money, time, and they dont look so good in the eyes of their boss!!!
That comment in the paper really is a punch in the eye for our hobby.
On a good note, looks like you guys had a blast down there. Hope the Circus can get there some time soon.

Nope, it states "drinking beer" just as plain as day. I was standing there when he was interviewing Mark and Alex and there was NO beer, only cholesterol filled bread! (which was delicious)
