Sweet!!!

Looks like a pattern plane to me, except for the dual aileron servos.

Ken,

Funny how things go round in circles. You know the first TOC was with pattern planes, Hanno prettner etc etc. Of course as the years trundled on and the tournanment grew with points for size, wing span, area etc the planes changed to the 3D models we have today. We all have the TOC to thank for that. But it started with F3A ships.

I have a Fantasy 3D from CA Models in Argentina. It is a slightly modified F3A (eclipse) with a shorter wing, a bit more aileron, rudder and elevator but an F3A fuselage.

It is the best 3D plane in my stable. Unreliable motor for sure but that is not the planes fault. Flys like it on a string, pulls stunning gyroscopics and lands like a trainer. What else could you ask for in a fun ship.

One thing, a gas engine!!!!!

Very similar to the plane in the photos.

The model was designed by Christope Paysant le-roux for Artistic-aerobatics/Freestyle,it was derived from a pattern aircraft called "Caprise" He added oversized control surfaces and brought the stab forward.

I've always said, there is no smoother plane than a Pattern plane...

I have a new one for competition this year. I traded my old one for a 33% GP Extra.

Man, I love this hobby!!!

Yep, I saw that story on the net. Very sweet bird, I wouldn't mind having one. I just happen to have a YS 140 FZ looking for a home.

Simon,
How the heck can you feel your fingers, do you know what they're doing? Looks bloody cold, mate, but at least it's not raining. Isn't that an expensive model to bring down and dirty? Anything that has C.L.P. written on it is frickin' expensive, he he. Love those YS 4-strokes on CP30, who needs a smoke system?
