Default Classic Weekend

I guess most of us in the N.E. did some flying this weekend.
I just wanted to post some pics of a classic airplane I rebuilt.
Its an old radiocraft, the verry first prototype I'm told

I bought it from AL Young the owner of Jtec after a tree jumped out in front
of my 35% wildhare extra (damm trees!)
AL said to me, "have I got somthing for you!" opening his trailer, under a tarp,
covered with dust, was an uncovered 35% extra 330 bare airframe.
AL made me a good deal so I bought it and later bought one his 35% Panzl's

The wings on the extra were still covered so I decided to use the old color scheme.
AL gave me an old picture to go by so I took my time in finnishing the extra.
I finnished last fall and flew it couple of times but a dead stick tore the gear and
the bottom out of the plane.
Repairing the plane over the winter I brought out again for the first time this weekend.
here's a pic of AL and the plane in original condition.

I have to give credit for the photos to a women in our club, Cindy Toth.
as well as being a good r/c pilot herself
she and her husban have a part time photography business and enjoy
shooting pictures of the planes.

I had one of those a few years back. I really wish it was still around. I sold it to a friend and it got shot down at his field in near Atlanta. Total loss and no reimbursement from the guilty pilot.
