The new Colombo Anderson 330L with 8511's and DA50, auw is about 14.6 lbs (with 8 ounces in the nose for balance). The motor still sounds ruff, i hope it gets better once it has run in. This is my first gasser, i bought the ARF version. http://www.flyinggiants.com/gallery/...nderson_02.wmv

| You are one hell of a pilot. I think you are running rich on the low end. Get your low end set up right and leave the high end a little rich. DA50 is not that sensitive on the high end you can richen it quite a bit and still not lose performance but don't richen it too much! There is 2 ways to set up your low end: 1. Lean it out 1/8 of a turn at a time and give a sudden full throttle if you are getting good transition then you need to lean it out more until the point either you are not getting transition or the motor dies when you jam the throttle, at that point back it out 1/4 of a turn since your motor is new but once it's broken in back it out only 1/8 of a turn. I find this way to be easier than the next one. 2. you start from half throttle and leaning out the motor so you don't hear any 4 cycling or burbling and you work your way down to idle. Remeber set your high end first and then your low end. If you had to do lots of adjustment on the low end then recheck your high end. Good Luck |

| Reza..thanks for the advice, makes good sense, I was slowly leaning the top end . DA's are quite rare on this side of the world so getting advice at the field is hard. Thanks.

I have someone who will sell me one. Here is an email that he sent me about it. The plane is an airframe with some decent hardware...it was setup to a push-pull rudder system...and the tail has all pin hinging done....covering is of great quality as well...there is no engine or electronics included...it also has a brand new set of sheeted aeroworks wings. To make this fly you will need engine, electronics, control arms for the elevator and throttle setup., fuel cell and fuel... http://i86.photobucket.com/albums/k9...A/DSC05173.jpg Is it worth $500? Thanks |
