Yeah that was a close call. I agree those people shouldn't have been that close and I would expect that pilot to say he's sorry.

I'm curious as to why the pilot was standing in the middle of the runway. If his jet would have tracked straight, it probably would have hit him. So instead, he botches a takeoff and flies into the crowd of morons standing right at the edge of the runway. Seems like the entire bunch needs to get hit with an airplane a time or two just for educational purposes, lol. At least ONE of them learned something! Stay back from the runway area or observe from the prone position.

well it didnt look like a flying field to me. i did not even see clearly defined runway nor a place for (spec-taters) to watch from. so if people dont know enough to stay clear then thats right there is what happens. and the pilot is to blame. this is what happens when some idiot finds a open aera and says hey i can fly there. also outside the us do you need a turbine waiver. hey if nothing else it clearly shows that the rest of the world has its share of dumbasses, and its not just at your field.its everywhere

I had to watch the vid a few times. It appears that in the back is a "club facility". A few flags waiving in front of them like they dresses up for a fly-in. They just don't seem to have the common sense safety rules for aircraft, pilot, and spectators that most folks would. It makes me appreciate my local club and feild that much more. I guess you don't know how good you have it until you see some poor unsuspecting idiot get jet-tagged(or close to it) by some jackass pilot. I love safety fences!!!

Yup that "dis ought ta do it" field selection process is probably close, BUT did ya notice this guy actually does a 180o turn during his take off run and goes airborne after about-facing the other freakin' compass heading?

Truly a PRIME example of too little experience to handle way, way, waaaaay too much hobby budget.

Good point. The best lessons are learned the hard way so my Dad would say.

That was ridiculous. The runway is super wide.... it even seemed that he was on the rough stuff and not further out where it appeared to be a little nicer.
