Wow, That was close. I guess it just goes to show that some people fly planes that are outside of their piloting abilities!!!

What an idiot pilot, but great performance by the guy diving out of harms way.

A couple of points. Yes, poor decision making to be sure. Kind of scary that some people think just because they can buy it they can also fly it!!

This brings up a good training point that has bothered me for along time. Alot of people here have probably tought on the buddy box at one time or another. How many of you actually sat down and had a good conversation about a go or no-go situataion. The fact that dude continued that takeoff even after the first few seconds show he has never drawn himself a good boundry of when its time to quit and try again. Many people do not cover this during training when the ground work is being laid as to how a flyer will conduct himself in a bad situation. I have seen this over and over with seemingly experianced pilots that cant let go, and are so task saturated that they will risk peoples well being to save a POS toy. A dude almost killed/severely maimed me with a 40 pound mustang because he didnt have a personal (Its to late just let it crash boundry). Just something to think about if you havent drawn your own line.

There are two points here I think that should be observed:

1 - perhaps he meant to do that

2 - he said "sorry"

oh and DK ..... it's nice to finally find out that someone from California is admitting not being native U.S. ......(j/k)
