Aviation Nation pics @ Nellis AFB

This past weekend was the Aviation Nation air show here in Lost Wages. It was alot of fun and there were many cool aircraft. Horizon Hobby was there trying to sale their airplanes and they even had a track laid out so they could run some r\c cars.

My thanks goes out to all those who have been and the ones that still are in the U.S Militery, and for the ones that have died to make the place alittle better . If it was not for you putting your life's on the line I would not be here today in a free country.

Nope no pics of the F-22. I left right as the Thunderbirds were getting done with their demo.

I was going to go Friday on the practice day but my boss said I couldn't have the day off and I should go Saturday instead.

I already had plans over the weekend and didn't want to deal with the crowds because I know my kids wouldn't make it the whole day.

There were a number of F-15's on display, but no flight demo. They are all grounded for now....

Any pics of them at the event though?

I'm told that they will start flying again in the morning.......

All U.S. based F-15's were grounded and inspected. Those deployed overseas were allowed to still be flown as operational requirements demanded.

Had not heard they were allowing the state side ones to fly yet, but I'm sure most of the inspections are done and they will be back in the air shortly. This was a precautionary procedure that has happened to numerous airframes throughout history when a possible weak point is detected.
