Yup,I think tail is a little heavy.Because I try to make it lighter, such replace wing tude, use Li-poly battery....etc,these make the CG backward.

I think it's not bad ,because it's much easier to do 3D.

The attached pictures are the equipments that how I made this Yak lighter

The carbon wing tube is a sample I designed,so I test it with flying high G force.
It look very good, good strength and light weight.

Battery:

I use STModel 7.4V/1000mah X2 (with Switching BEC X2),double power source into receiver.I can fly about 6 times ( by 5 digital servos)

And STModel 850mah/7.4v with BEC for CDI

I don't think so. Perhaps for a sport flier but certainly not for a badass freestyle pilot.

Tail heavy is tail heavy no matter if your a beginner or sport pilot or a pretty good pilot. Being tail heavy is not a thing you use when your a better pilot despite the wifes tails you hear at your local club it is a thing that needs to be fixed like a bad thrust angle or wing incidence that is off. Being tail heavy does not help you fly better, it keeps you from flying better. That goes for 3d imac or any other flying discipline.

I agree, tail heavy is tail heavy but if a pilot is going to attempt to fly like Dragon here, the plane has to be somewhat tail heavy. BTW, center of gravity issues are rather personal and are related to a pilot's flying preference. I've not seen a 50 cc gasser fly more competently than in Dragon's video.

This is the myth I try to combat. You dont need to be tail heavy to fly these moves. The tail heavy plane digs in and has to be counteracted with out these extra things the pilot has to do in flight more attention can be paid to the next move. Though being to nose heavy can effect these moves

Lets get this thread back to the subject of this plane. The plane looks to be a good one.

For some maneuvers the plane has to be slightly tail heavy compared to the Manufactures suggested settings. But who says there settings are right. For an aerobatic plane the CG can be anywhere in the range of 25-35% of the M A C.

The video's time line beginning at 5"08" shows a downline wall that in my opinion could only be done with a somewhat tail heavy ship. There's no getting around that fact. A plane balanced per the manufacturer's specs will most likely crash while doing that maneuver. JMHO
Cheers

lets not get side tracked by the manufactures suggested any thing here. And theres nothing in that video that I dont do repeatedly with my plane that i also fly imac with all of it even the parachute that you call a down line wall.

IMHO the plane is incredibly well balanced for the type of flying TheDragon is doing, which is badass huckin'.
