Default AM 30% YAK, first gasser Maiden.

AM 30% Yak 54
ZDZ 60 W/ 22x8 break-in prop
Futaba 8CH PCM
HS5645's for Ailerons and Elevators
HS5955 for the Rudder.
HS645 throttle

Ign. Batt - 4 cell, 2500 mAH NiMH
2 - Cermark 5 cell, 2700mAH NiMH Battery packs.
Smart-Fly BattShare

Approx. Weight close to 19lbs.

Well I finally maidened my first gasser this Saturday.
Take off was very ugly because my rates and expo were not set right, but after a minute I settled down and all it needed was 2 clicks of UP and that was it.

New ZDZ60 started right up, sounded and ran great, very impressed with the engine so far.

Flight report, I LOVED IT !!!
The plane flies like a U-CAN DO on steroids, what a floater !

Only got 1 flight in due to weather and my nerves but I am glad the maiden is over with.

Now I have to wait for who knows how long for this crappy Northern Ohio weather to get better.

Anyhow I know I will be hucking this bird soon.

Here's a couple of pics.

Pretty bird, glad everything went okay! We have a bunch of guys from Ohio flying with us over the weekend. Almost 80 yesterday. They're flying and smiling!

Nice Plane!!
Glad you had a sucessful flight!

What day did you Fly!?!
Hmm. I guess Saturday might have been ok..
I was out of commission Sat (Family Obligations), so I guess I didn't even notice the weather.

I wanted to maiden the EF 300 on Sunday... Blahhhhh rain all DAY!

4 more weeks my Ohio brother... then we at least have a 50/50 chance of flying!!

Thanks SleepyC, yeah it was Saturday afternoon, it was pretty windy and rain was a threat.

I was really ticked off Sunday, it was warm but as usual here in Ohio it was WET.

The rest of this weeks weather looks like crappola too !

Man 4 weeks seems like a year at this point.

Yeah, it is on the heavy side but man this plane still flies really light.

Well, I give you props on the color scheme choice! It's what I would have chosen...

Thanks bodywerks !

My choices would have been,

1st - The scheme I chose was my first choice. I really like the looks.
2nd - The Red/White and Blue scheme.
3rd - The Blue and Yellow Flame scheme.
4th - The Purple scheme.
5th - The Silver scheme.
