BTW Al,

I know you're on a specific diet...I've put myself on one also. I'm on a low carb diet, working pretty good. I'm not on a NO carb, I still have a good amount of carb's, just making the carb's count...

Just food for thought...I eat the way I do and still have lost 16 lbs. in the last 3 months. No exercise, just working every day and sticking to my diet.

I still have my Futaba!
In all seriousness, I bought the 9303 for two reasons:
#1 it's on 2.4 Ghz
#2 it has 2048 resolution

I've always enjoyed my 9C and was going to switch to a 10C, but the 2048 was the killer. It was what I was looking for. When I saw the price on Donalds-hobby.com, I just pulled the trigger on it.($530 and in stock)

Boulder, keep up the diet! Sounds like you're doing great! Here's a tip for ya, stay away from all artificial sugars.(splenda(sucralose), nutrasweet(aspartame), etc. The human body doesn't recognize them and automatically converts it to fat.

soooo uh... I am stupid and I would like to know what Futaba has that makes them superior. I am fairly new to the hobby. I have only been flying for about a yr and all I have flown has been JR or spectrum. I mean is there a true advantage or is it just a choice?

I myself started flying R/C back in 1979 and my first radio was some 5-channel Sanwa with metal bottom... i can tell you it was unpleasant to hold that one during the winter!
I have worn out a couple of Futabas since that and i still have my old FF-6. (got that one for my 30:th birthday so i just canīt sell it!)
My current radio is a 7 ch. Hitec Eclipse and my sons (age 16 and 13) also fly Hitec (Flash 5X and Optic 6 Sports).
For us itīs practical, all servos, receivers, switches etc. fit all around.
However... what brand you choose to operate is imho not important.
Mixing possibilities, how many models you operate, the "feeling" when you hold the TX and so on.
The main thing is a reliable set that will work every single day! We have been lucky so far!
BTW we are still flying on the good old 35 MHz band, but 2.4 GHz looks promising for the future.
When that day comes someone will sell a truckload of receivers...
Just my 50 cents on the subject.
