Great pics Stang!!! Hope you're loving that DL as much as I love mine. What prop you running?? I've got a Vess 23A on mine turning 7400 rpm running Belray H1R at 40:1. I know what you mean about that letter thing. Those parts came out of Reno to western Washington in a day and a half.

Al, I'm running a Vess 22B.. It has power to knife edge loop at will. I havn't leaned on the motor yet. I have a gallon through it now. When did you switch to the leaner fuel mix? Also, was the Vess23A better than the 22B... Might try one.

I've never run the B but from what I've read the A will bring it out of a hover like a rocket. I don't play with the 32:1 break-in, wear your ring out thing. I run everything on synthetic 40:1 from day one. They only tell you to run that cheap stuff so you get faster wear on the rings and they will seat. Unfortunately you're also getting wear on the bearings and everything else during that break-in period.

I have made a horrible mistake. I have decided to re-cover the 50% Cub. The problem is once I stripped the fabric covering off the fuslage all the glue that held the covering in place stuck to all the wood. Now I have an uncovered fuselage with sticky glue all over it. I need to spend about 3 days scraping and disolving all the stupid glue off the framework so I can begin to recover the plane in MonoKote. I think the plane will get done, but I am not sure. I need to organize a "MonoKote Covering Party" this weekend, anyone interested?
