Hello Wesse,

I test flew the MD-11 last Sunday and I had several small problems. At the end of the day, all was good. During some of the engine runs and taxi test we had several flame outs due to air-bubbles in the fuel line. After about 4 hours of asseymble, testing, running, fixing, etc, the test flight was made.

The airplane flew pretty good but only for about 2.5 minutes before the expected engine failure. During the glide and landing approach I found out that the plane was slightly tail heavy as it pitched up slightly near touchdown, had to get full up elevator at the end and kinda slammed it in the ground.

Gear check complete and nothing broken! Whew... After returning back to the work shop we found we had a fuel tank issue that was causing all the air-bubbles to be fed into the fuel line. This issue was fixed along with the addition of some nose weight. The airplane is very solid now and fly's great, no more flame-outs! We have 1.2 gallons of fuel on board and we can get 12 minute flights with pleaty of reserve. Look for this plane at the Joe Nall! It is now ready for the event.
