Right on- I just might have too much prop on it, but now that the engine is running VERY well, I'll still try it out, but the 22A may be as good as it gets for this motor... not that it's bad at all- just was trying to milk out a bit more...

also, The wild hare in the last pic I posted suffered a terrible "off road landing" and had to be stripped and gone over and repaired.... Since I had it in the bones, I figured I'd change the color scheme! That (our) plane is the one in my avatar now.... Here's a couple of fullsize pics- He He He!

LOL! Thanks a bunch! I actually really liked the scheme, but why re-cover it to look like the ones you can buy- right? Actually, the scheme changed while I was under way on the re-cover.... Originally, I was gonna keep the scheme, and just change colors, but when I was making cardboard templates to cut the covering off of, I just decided to lay it out all different and go for it! I'd like to think of myself as fairly modest, (when I'm being serious) and say that I got pretty lucky with the way it turned out, But I do have to say that I planned EVERYTHING out and it worked just the way it was supposed to. All of the seams overlap correctly (trailing edge overlaps leading edge of the covering seams) which means basically I started from the bottom back to the top front. all patterns I made so that I could cut mirror images of covering to maintain continuity left to right. I believe there were like 20 or so templates, not including the graphics (Flying giants) that were also cut out of monokote by hand so that the colors matched PERFECTLY.....
5 colors, 6 rolls, and about 30 or so hours later, that's what I came up with... I said I wouldn't do that again for a while, but I am doing my little .91 size Edge 540t now as a *too* low knife edge took it's toll on the airframe..

Thanks again for the compliment! Ken M.

Hello all,

I am new to the FG forums and I have read through most of this hard man forum from the begining.

I want to officaly declare that Wesse, you are one crazy cool dude. Anyone who doesn't get you isn't a complete human being. I have laughed so many times in the last few weeks because of you and others videos in this forum and I've even taken to eating the japalenos and drinking Yucatan habernero sauce thanks to 50%. That stuff is good!

I'm still 1 1/2 years new to R/C and don't have a giant plane. Yet! But I will by next summer.

Thanks to all for a great forum,

Ken

Hey Ken,

Great to have you here!! Get you and your friends to slam out a Japaleno vid, it'll be a piece of cake!! LOL!!! Make sure when you do your taste testing you try to grab all of the different peppers mentioned for a taste test, Al's Thai peppers and my Trappy's Tabasco peppers, just for something different. I will definately not push you to try the Habanero...we few that have done that have some extended time eating this type of food...it's an acquired resistance

I wish I could throw together a big batch of chili together and invite all of the "Hard People" together for a bash.

BTW: You don't have to fly giant scale to be very welcome here, we love all that flies!!!
