You did great Jim. I know what you mean about the peppers. I lived in England for 9 years. Closest thing I ever found was a good Vindalu Currie from the Changies. Still, I'd much rather be sitting in the Fat Cat having a pint of real ale and a pork pie! Good old English mustard will clear you sinuses quick enough too!

Hi everyone!

Holly crap! I am not a hard man! I cried like a baby tonight for at least 5 minutes at Macayo's Restaurant. My daughter Madison challenged me to eat a Japeleno tonight at dinner. I figured that hey, everyone else on Flying Giants is eating them, how bad can it be?

OMG!! Please note, prior to tonight I have never had a Japeleno ever! I hate onions, I hate pickles, I hate green peppers, red peppers, I hate anything spicy!

Ok, I had the waiter bring me 1- Jalapeño from the kitchen; he tells me that these are not too bad and I will be fine. Ok I thought, this would just be a test before I made the big video for all of you out here in FG land. My daughter had the cell phone video going, so off I go. "I am a hard man" "I eat Jalapeños!" bite, bite, crunch, crunch, smile ,smile. Oh crap!

My mouth was on fire; I quickly swallow all the remaining un eaten jalapeño and grab the closest drink I could. I took my daughters milk and drank, and drank until it was gone. After this, my mouth was bleeding with PAIN! My tongue was on fire and it was hard for me to breath. My eyes were now tearing and flowing down my face. The whole restaurant was now looking, pointing, laughing at me! My kids were laughing at me. I was sitting there just waiting to die!

The only thing that kept me from getting up and running outside was the glass of ice water. If I kept my tongue in the water, I could withstand the pain. If I took it out and "air" touched my tongue it would start burning all over again.

OMG, how are you guys doing this crap?

Wesse! I am sorry, you will have to find someone else to join your "Hard Man Club" I have failed you. I am truly sorry. I am sure our friendship is now over. I am a looser.

Bill, I guess that I forgot to mention that I spent a year in South Korea in the Air Force where I ate Kimchee and Thai peppers everyday. After a while you get a taste for it!
