A have to agree with you Kiwi, I absolutely love the pickled Jalapeno's, Tabasco peppers and even keep a jar of Peperincini's around for snackin', great flavor and good heat. As most have seen, my breakfast every morning has that added flavor, I do like my hot sauce

To all, my eating of those Habenero's was done on a whim, not as a challenge for anyone else to do the same.

BTW: No major ill effects this morning

I think we may have found Wesse's new theme song!

He is a happy man and it brings a great vibe to the giants!

Wesse,

I am happy you have your airline tickets! As I undestand it, you and Slammis will fly to New York so you can speak to all the New Yorkers, that is great.

But, did you know that NY is a long, long way from the Joe Nall? It will take you a very, very long time to drive that distance in a rental car. You also need to make sure you can take your rental car out of the state of NY. There might be a rule or something, just might want to check this out and make sure there will not be any problems. We ALL need you to make it to the NALL!!!!!

FG people: How long will it take for Wesse and Slammis to drive to the Nall from NY?

15 hours? 20 hours? Whew....

Bill

According to google maps:
738 mi – about 11 hours 56 mins

Which by my experience is usually on the optimistic side. I would guess at least a couple of hours more.

Was Wesse planning on once he got to NY to take another flight and fly to NC closer to Joe Nall and rent a car then ?

I have got myself to Triple Tree a good few times and the method really depends on what or where you stay.
Flying into Atlanta and driving up is the cheapest way. Its a nice quiet drive in a car or a rental motor home.

The other option from NY would be fly into Charlotte NC and drive down, again a really easy drive (with a GPS)

The simplest by far is to fly into Greenville Spartenburg airport, crab a car and in 30 minutes your at TT. Apart from the few runs into the local super market for liquid refreshments you can really spend the entire week on the site.

Good idea Kiwi. I think your last suggestion would be the best for Wesse and Slammis if they can arrange it. I flew into New York for Christmas and drove to Saratoga Springs and getting out of New York in a rental car is NOT a fun thing. Especially if it's your first time in the country.

Wesse,

What are you doing for accommodation. I dont have anything written in stone yet so there are options.

I can buy a big tent and we camp out at Triple Tree. We can get a bag and stuff from Wally World for a few Krona's. This is by far the most economical way. I can rent a car so we have a way to go get fresh Japalenos and food. There's sure to be someone with a big enough BBQ for us cook on or if not I buy one.

Second option is the motel in Greenville. Great place and lots pilots stay there. Has a pool and lots of good eating establishments close by. (that waffle stop where they sell grits does not count either). Its about 350 USD for the week per room and you can share two per room.

Third option is rent a mobile home in Atlanta but these SOB's are expensive and really unless you have a car your stuffed as you park it for a week and use it to sleep in. It used to be my choice but its too limited in being able to get away from the site.

Wesse, Slammis, I'm more than happy to get the tent and stuff and you guys are welcome. So long as you dont fart or snore louder than me. Then we will be OK. We can do some good Japaleno cook offs, surely someone knows how to whip up a good Texan hot chillie dish. The options are unlimited.

If you want to camp out then I'm up for it guys. That way you dont have accommodation issues at all.

Just say yes and consider it done.

SIDENOTE TO KIWIS POST:

Camping at triple tree is by far one of the easiest camping facilities around. Showers, Toilets, running water etc.... Very, Very easy to make camp. The only draw back, is the occasional Thunderstorm that can roll through forcing you to make sure you're prepared for those. Other than that its a perfect setting. Bring a fishing pole, and some rubber worms, and your good to go for a morning, and evening fish. Great place !
