How does one put videos on a DVD?

OK, technically challenged Super Dave here...

I have a TV/DVD setup in my exercise room and like to watch airplane vids while on the treadmill. I have about worn out my current selections. Is there a way to download videos off Giants or You Tube and put them on a DVD? I wouldn't be selling any of it or anything shady like that, just putting some huck vids on a DVD to watch while I run on the treadmill.

Technically it's still a violation of copyright laws but I'm interested in the answers as well. Good question.
