Default Uploading vid. ?

How long does it take for you guys to upload your Vids.

I am on Comcast cable, which has a horribly slow upload speed. They are trying to deter users from using their PC's as video servers. So far I'm going on 15 min. and it is still uploading, I don't know the file size, I'll try to check that.

Just checked:
File size is 71.3MB

It might be my media, it's a pretty large file, I'll try to reduce it's size and see if that works.

i have this and pay $49.99 a month.. are you on a beginner program or something??
If so.. wait... SBC can bite th big pickle, they slap on additional taxes, and fee's and taxes and ??
And wait untill you have a slight problem.... OMG.. the entire company is inept.
I use SBC because at this point I have no choice, but I HATE THEM!!

I used the SBC smartpages and the yellowpages in the past for a business I had, and I still pay $165 a month for nothing right now... due to the fact that SBC is a SCAM artist. They lied to me about placing an online ad and a phonebook ad, they lied about the contract length, and I'm stuck paying for it...
I hope they outgrow themselfs and go bankrupt. (as for the employees, I'm sure there are a few good people working for SBC and to you I appoligize, but most of the people I have dealt with at SBC are complete morons, who at best have a 7th grade education.)

Ok,

I uploaded a video, in Quicktime format, 71.3 MB. It looked like the vid uploaded but I don't see it anywhere.
I must have screwed up somehow.

Max, Biff or anyone? Ideas?

It wasn't much, just me slappin' a profile around the backyard, my son shooting the vid.

I've got SBC DSL and it's $24.95, I got the 1st year at this price and just renewed online for the same price. It shows up at $49.99 but then I get the discount

I'm bumping this up to try to get some help.

I'm trying to upload a video and am having trouble. It's a Quicktime vid, about 71 meg in length. I can't reduce the size since Windows Movie Maker doesn't recognize "mov" files. I only have the Quicktime 7 free version, not the Pro version. Is there a way to save my file as a "wmv" so I can reduce the size?

I should be able to upload this vid since there are no limits on size. I must be doing something wrong, HELP!

I let it go until the "submit/upload" key lights up again. That should tell me it's done, but the vid is nowhere to be found.

I'll try again, it's not really a big deal, but now it's starting to get personal...

Kenny.

If your uploading a vid file check in the list of acceptable file formats in the box under where you pasted the link. From memory it is maxed at 50 megs on some file types and smaller for others. If you are trying to pump up 70 megs then the site should tell you the file size is too big or the wrong format. However like all nice modern technologies it will only tell you that after you sat for 20 minutes trying to fit a square peg in a round hole.
