| I finally fired up the CNC mill today! Here are the essential specs of the monster Loco hyperion 4025/16 5s2p of TP2100 cells 6x HS-81 1x S3152 (had that one lying around, goes on the rudder) 2,4m span, expected AUW under 2.5Kg 6mm depron core plated with 3mm depron on both sides. Where necessary core is light ply. 12/10mm carbon wing tube. First picture is a CAD print screen. Last one is the wing half core compared to a standard Loco wing. |

Finished milling the 6mm depron parts. Started with the ply reinforcements. In the picture two versions of the same part. First version was too heavy (46g) second version is still more than enough from the structural point of view but much lighter (21g). I'll probably make the servo mounts out of 6mm balsa instead of ply. They are a bit heavy for my liking (7 and 9g)

Thanks everybody for your comments! Sandwich parts look good and feel rather solid for their weight. I'll slow down with the build because from now I'm only at home during weekends. The 10 days "vacation" are over already I'm now back to my life as a student...
