I have to say that it looks awesome. There isn't much smooth area on top to create lift but you never know until you try. I hope you have ducted some air over the motor. I can't tell from the picture. Best of luck and video is a must. Dan |

Hey guys, thanks for all the positive replies. I am going to try all sorts of airfoil enhancements until it flys nice regardless of all the battle damage. I will get this bird up soon as the weather is showing some improvement... Here is some early pics of the build!!!! Thanks for your support. John C. |

Hey guys, any suggestions on a Cg for this craft. It is 24" wide and 24" in length. I figure around 10" back from the nose. I usually figure 1/3 the wing chord, but based on the unusual front end taper I want to be as close as possible.. Thanks. John C |

I would take some 3mm depron and make a simple hadn throw glider to help determine the CG and maybe test your control system as well. Shawn | ||||||||||||||||||

JeeUm....I have the control surfaces set up like a biplane. There are small control rods running threw to both the upper and lower surfaces to give me delta like control( elevons ) . Look at some of the bottom pics and you can see the servos running to the lower portion of the control surface. Shawn.. Thats a great idea!!! I did throw this across my basement before the power system was added and it flew fine but of coarse I forget to check where the cg was . I will try to make another glider version first... thanks/John C. |
