Thanks Jay, I think there are bets on how long she will be up in the air!!! HA HA HA... I am determined to make sure I get a successful flight no matter how many crashes it takes . "The force is strong with this one" John C. I didnt crash my plane, I had a mid air with the earth...... Last edited by xtremeRCpilot; 02-28-2007 at 06:43 PM. | ||||||||||||||||||

Hey Dude, I challenge you to make a flying Death Star! Should be easy, just smack a prop on top of that thing and hover it around... That's coming from the idiot who glued the wing on upside down from a prototype FG foamy..

John have you done some static thrust tests? The prop won't be getting practically any clean laminar flow in that position... Pitch is also rather high. All this leads to an aerodynamic disaster and a lot of noise (or sound )Now I don't want to be a spoil sports and I do hope you get this thing moving and flying! For the CG try the program Win Schwer http://infinityinfinity.com/x/Win_Schwer.zip |

Well , as many of you have suggested I decided to throw together another speeder fusalage for some glide tests, to try to find a more accurate CG. I still need to glue it together after I document the pieces. I wont be building it to complete scale , but it will definately resemble the first prototype.... I will let you know how it works out!!! ![]() John Carver |

I am confident it will fly. My father built two 90 size versions of this: http://members.aol.com/slicklynne/facet.htm that flew awesome. Not too far off eh? The CG was at the first "bend" back if you look at the pics. That ought to give you some clue where to put yours. As always, better further forward than too far back. Good luck, can't wait for the video! |

ibange.. WOW!!!! That is cool. Thanks for the inspiration. I always thought it would be awesome to make a full scale snowspeeder, even if it was just a lawn ornament.... ![]() John C. |
