pitviper51.........Looks cool!!!! I like the concept of the tail fin. I alway wanted to try a hat cam so I could record more of my flights. This way where ever your looking the camera will follow!!! ![]() John |

one thing i would highly suggest puting some kinda of vertical fin on it,, even a clear lexan fin would be better then nothing,, i tryed to thing once with out a vert stab, and it would slide so bad haha then spin wildly, tho yours is a bit differnt more of my 2 cents mike

I think I could be done as is. If changes need to be made I would simply consider making control surfaces like on a b-2 stealth bomber. It has yaw control without a vertical fin.

You know, if you end up with stability problems, as an alternitive to doing non-scale lexan fins and stuff like that - just install some pizo gyros where needed to keep the thing going in the right direction.

i did more test on my paper design,, one things for sure down slow down hahah, im sure this will hold true to the snow speeder.. the b2 controls yaw by use of clam shell airbrakes, would be neat to see on rc mike

John, I love it, and wish you the best...but.... You've got major anhedral there. It's going to want to flip over on its back big time. Be prepared to fly inverted, or better yet, drop an FMA Co-pilot in it. Good luck R.D. |

John, Flying wings are normaly closer to 20% to 25% of the area ahead of the CG. I fly a Pizza Box Flyer (Flat plate, 24 x 24 square) and it fly's great with the CG 5 1/2 inches back from the leading edge. That's 23% more or less. Others have suggested a glider test. It's always a good idea. Very low aspect ratio designs have a lot of effective dihedral. That's positive yaw to roll coupling. It may help to counter all that anhedral. Yes, bigger diameter lower pitch prop the better. With all that drag it won't be fast anyway. Don't overload the motor though. Best of luck. R.D. |

Thanks for the good wishes!!!Jay ... My sentiments exactly!!!! If it does crash I will be posting a special effects video . I need all the luck I can get!!! Thanks.John Carver | ||||||||||||||||||
