pitviper51.... That sounds like a great idea!!! I would love to make some ridiculously sized sci-fi ship. The snowspeeder would be a perfect candidate Dont give me any ideas like this.

Well, I finally got around to do some glide tests with my glider version and have to say this thing is like a rock. It is very unpredictable. It has a terrible time staying on a straight path( either noses in or tip stalls without warning ,The CG ended up around 10.5" from the LE. I am reconsidering my pusher prop version and may use a pull motor up front. I feel I will have more control and may be able to save it easier with minimal damage. I am going to do a few tests with my glider( via a motor conversion ) puller and pusher before I go destroying all my hard effort on the scale version.... Any suggestions would be great.... I want to get this thing flying...Soon!!! Thanks.

find a field with tall grass - it's like a big cushion if you crash. I leared how to fly in a big oats field. I put the Electra motor glider in full speed upside down once & it didn't really hurt it!

i notice with my micro model it wold slip side ways, im guessing your haven the same issues.. you might want to try counter rotation puller and pusher set up,, and im not sure how the scale control surfaces are helping with this,.. but at this poitn trail and error is all ya can do... get some pics!!! or find a good slope to fly it off... the updraft might help...

RappyMan...... I wish there were tall grass for the maiden here in Ohio , but I will have towait a few more months . I quess I was just hoping it would float like my 30% Yak, ha haha. I wll keep trying things out.

pitviper51....... Mine is doing that as well. It all depends on my throw angle. If I throw it straight it seems Ok but slightly left or right it does the sideways slope thingy. If throw slightly down it goes straight down. I like your Idea of twin pitch motors. I may have to build a smaller version and use my cdrom motors to get it figured out. I will get video with the motor versions ASAP. Thanks for the input!!

Making it a pull setup is a good idea. I don't think it is impossible to make it a puller but if would be good to start off with the puller setup so that you can perfect your control surfaces. If all goes well make it a pusher again. You could also make it thrustvectoring. There is a sukoi on fg somewhere that has thrust vectoring. You could make it like it and that would solve probably all your control issues.
