Hey all, finally finished up the Snowspeeder and am waiting to maiden this bad boy . When its not below zero, its 40mph winds here in Cleveland. I hope to get some video before Spring hits .Anyhow, I spent some time building this thing from fanfold blue core foam in hopes to make it as scale looking as possible and to prove that sci fi ships do fly... Man I hope to have the CG right. Just under 2ft X 2 ft and around 24 oz RTF, I should have at least a 2:1 power to weight ratio with the hextronic brushless on 3 cells. I will let you know how/if she flys. + = ![]() John Last edited by xtremeRCpilot; 02-22-2007 at 09:53 PM. |

that is the nicest sci fy ship I have ever seen! dude that is very very nice workmansship with that bluecore foam! i'v built about 40 or 50 planes out of bluecore foam (mostly 3D foamys) and the one time i tried building a scale airplane.. its just to hard and messy. I give it a 10! I hope it flys!

Thanks Bamm-o, you should have seen the murder scene of blue core when I was done with this thing. Lets just say alot of trial and error. ![]() pitviper51.... I saw one on RCGroups but it was a hovercraft and I think there were some issues with the directional control. either way its all part of the fun of scratch building. we all hope to bring them home in one piece .
