Thanks for the tip on the goop.
Hopefully I will start a build thread on the UZI this weekend.
PitViper, Your Uzi paint scheme looks nice. I am trying to decide if I want to paint mine or not.

There use to be 3 sizes; X,XL,XXL. Pitviper's is the tiny Uzi X, which came pre painted. I've heard that Hobby Lobby doesn't sell those anymore, or the Uzi XL.

I've been using "Weldwood contact cement" on EPP for years and it works very well!
Smear it on using the brush in the jar, push the pieces into place and quickly remove them, let it sit for 5 or so minutes to flash and when you rejoin them they are there for GOOD!! You will tear out the foam before the glue lets go, it seeps into the pores of the foam and stays flexable which is exactly what you want.

Now on the CF, I used a straight edge and cut a slot, then pulled the foam apart and slid the CF into place, once you get it pressed down and are happy just wick a bit of thin CA to lock it in place and your done. Great way to really stiffen it up without adding much weight. Thanks for the great primer on that "Heydick"!!

Here is a dumb question...What direction did you insert your CF into the wing? If you install the CF strip vertically then it would give strength to the wings keeping them from flexing up and down...CF strips laying horizontal in the wing would give it strength from flexing backwards and forwards.
Hope that makes since...another way to word it would be...is the strips laying flat or on end.

Thanks guys...Pics to come in the build thread

Vertically. We put 2 strips on both wings. One on top, one below. Then two running down each side of the fuse. Makes it stiff as a mofo!
