Sweet! 34" Extra 300 foamy

Hey peeps.

I just completed about 15 minutes ago MOD Extra 300 foamy based off of Extremeflight's 88" Extra. I spent about 6 hours on CAD and came up with this I tried my best to make it look as close to ExtremeFlight's Extra as possible and keeping it a foamy (except the scheme). You gotta admit, EF's Extra is sexy!

WS: 34"
Length: 34"
Weight without batt: 5.3 oz! (add 1.2 oz for batt)

Motor: CustomCDR single
Battery: ThunderPower 480 3cell
Servos: HS 55
Receiver: GWS 6ch

For those of you that are going to the Florida Extreme Fly in, you can see it in person!

Maiden happens tonight.

CAD program is Turbo CAD. It's a great program and I know there is a free trial that lets you have the whole program for about a week. I think the website is www.turbocad.com

I just flew the Extra and it flew good but I can't judge it yet because there is like a 6 mph gust out right now

Thanks Bammo!

That thing looks sharp by the way!

Are you using the Turbo Cad 2D version? I see the full version is only 34.95.

No, I'm actually using TurboCad Deluxe v12. I was using their trial version and then they called me offering me a great combo deal.

Thanks for the comments on the plane! I got to fly it in little to no wind last night. I was trying to figure the CG and I think I found the sweet spot. this thing can sure do some nice rolling circles and harriers with only little movement of the stabs I still have to tweak it a bit but I'll try and get some one to video it.

Heres some pics of the Extra at the FX3D fly in

Sorry peoples, no video yet I'm planning this Saturday night to get my cousin to film it flying at a soccer field. IF this wind is good I will go for some video. Lately the wind has sucked! I got some video but it was just to windy to show how good the plane flies.

But man, I love this plane! 5 minutes before dark there is little to no wind. I have the CG set to 3D pig and it just does some awesome moves. The best is the rolling harriers and circles, it takes VERY (I MEAN VERY) little movement of the stabs to keep it rolling straight
