Is this foam tape? I have some blue stuff that I use for mounting my sat recievers.... Would that work?

That's a cool idea, I'll have to look into it for future builds...

It's close, the home depot stuff is a lot stronger I'd say 3-4 times the strength

I wasn't able to find the right stuff at our local Home Depot stores. They do have the 3M double sided tape, but it comes in several flavors and they are listed on the 3M website.

I tried the regular stuff from Home Depot and it allowed the servos to move too much and when I happened to leave the foamie upside down in the sun while recharging the battery, one of the servos actually came loose.

A friend who'd been in the sign business told me about the industrial grade 3M double sided tape that they used. I couldn't find it anywhere locally, so I got it direct from 3M. It's a bit spendy as you have to buy a 15 yd. roll from them, but I've been selling the stuff by the foot to other guys in our club.

Oh, it comes in two thicknesses and different colors. I got the thin clear tape and it has a red backing on it.

I've had bad luck with both hot glue and epoxy. I've managed to squeeze some inside of 2 servos causing them to not move at all. Once I was in the air before I realized it and I was lucky to have made it down in one piece. So I am at least taping over the servo where the halves meet before I use either of those methods again. I might see if any STL home depots have any of that 2 sided tape.

Any body got any tips on freeing up servos that bind a little? The ones that I have taken apart are a little sticky now and I'm pretty sure I got all of the glue buggers out of them. They are HS-55s and I'd like to get them working again.
