I put the new park 300 on a new shocky yak. I have been given a 2 cell 830mah bat to try on it. Being that I know a little less than squat about electrics I bought a bunch of props from 8x6 to 10x47. The 2 9inch props I got don't fit. First I tried the 8x6 with a 2 cell but it had zero vertical which came as no surprise. Next I tried a 10x4.7 and it would hover at full throttle. not quite what I had in mind. It flew really, really light though I put a 3 cell on with the 8x6 and it was awesome but because it was a 900 it is to heavy. The question is what kind of flight times could I expect with a TP 3 cell 480 pack? The TP 3s 480 weighs the same as a TP 2s 730. The park 300 is very close to a 2204/54. What kind of prop would work with the 2 cell?

What is your total weight? I run a 2204 on my shocky, 300 mah 2 cell 9 3.8 prop or 8 3.8. Just keep the pitch down, no bigger than 9in. The less length of the prop means less wind over your surfaces. My setup only wieghs 5.5 ounces. Flys like a dream. I use 4.3 gram Interflite servos in the tail. Hitec HS-50 on alerions. Going to need to buy gear sets for the cheepy 4.3s but they work fine for me. Prime_Time |

Yup, like PT said, the motor will work well with a 9-3.8 on 2 cells. However, I found it to be much happier with a 3cell battery and the APC 8-3.8. With that prop, I fed mine with either the TP 480 3s , or the 730 3S battery. The tan stripe battery is good for about 20% more punch (by the gut-feel-o-meter) Run times with the 480 are somewhat short at about 5-6 mins of agressive flying, and about 8 mins with the 730's. (This was with a 7oz foamy).....
